About Us

Initially Eddie Chandler had the idea of trying to get more enduro events for sidecars to participate in, as at the time, 1978, there were only The Welsh Two Day and Powys Enduro available. Nick Georges acquired any information and contacts from Eddie and proceeded to hound and badger club organisers to support the sidecars and offer other events. From here on in 1979 the B.S.E.A. was founded and, with the help of Pete Plummer, the first championship was sponsored by Trials and Motocross News.
After a while the ACU took over the Trials and Motocross Championship with the assistance of Nick Georges, but Nick proceeded to push forward the B.S.E.A. with its own championship of two classes, Expert and Newcomers, (now known as Clubmen).
Nick continued to run the club until his first stint of competing in sidecars came to an end and he passed on the realms to Martin Bracey and Dick Clarke.

From here on there has been various organisers of the club, and as of date we have around 16 Championship rounds and about 8 ACU rounds.
